“În brațe” is a Romanian charity working in Oradea. We take care of children.

Sometimes they are sick and need someone to care for them, sometimes they are abused and need someone to protect them, sometimes they are abandoned and need someone to take them in, and sometimes they are dying and need to not be alone.

We go to them, care for them, give them some gentleness.

the orphanage

We started in 2000 in the state-run orphanage. When it closed in 2005 the children were distributed to group homes, and we moved our work to the children’s hospital.

Our primary work is now in the children’s hospital. We care for children who have been left by their families: sometimes for a few weeks, sometimes for a few years. We care for their personal needs: feeding and clothing them, and loving them.

in the villages

We also work in the villages to feed and clothe children, keep them warm, love them, and prepare them for life. Working in the villages is an adventure, and that’s part of the attraction. You can’t get much closer to the action than this!
